A Jeep tour of the D-Day sites is a great way to discover and experience the history of World War II. Our Dutch-speaking guide will tell you beforehand in the ‘War Room’ in Amfreville (Manche), using maps and visual material, all about the important events, places and people involved in Operation Overlord. He will then take you on a tour in an authentic 1944 Willys Jeep used by the Allies. You traverse the main historical sites of D-Day in the Cotentin: the drop zones, Sainte Mère-Église, where you meet John Steele, La Fière, and so on. You will see the famous Utah Beach, where thousands of soldiers landed and fought. You will also explore the hinterland, where you will find traces of the battle, such as bunkers, craters, monuments and cemeteries. You will marvel at the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives for Europe's freedom.
